Intra-company Transferees (ICTs)

Canada immigration for managers

The International Mobility Program is one of Canada's immigration programs, which allows skilled and highly skilled foreign professionals to immigrate to Canada through an intra-company transfer visa.

  • A company that operates in Canada may request that one or more of its employees be moved to the Canadian branch of its company or institution.
  • By applying for an Intra-Canadian Transfer Visa, the company, as well as employers and holders, will be able to avoid the requirement of submitting an LMIA.
  • An LMIA is not required in order to obtain a work permit in Canada, since the work permit is exemption from the requirement.
  • Through the in-house transfer method, the process of obtaining a work permit can be much quicker, simpler, and much less costly than the LMIA route.
  • Depending on the Owner Operator LMIA, a Canadian transfer visa is often compared to a work permit.
  • It is also possible to obtain permanent residency in Canada following the completion of this program.
  • Just by using this method, you will earn 200 points for your Express Entry Canada profile.
